Most blogs don't give you a step by step on how to submit music to them, I feel like it will make both of our lives easier if I do that. Lets get into how to submit both as an artist and as a fan. The requirements for artist are there to help you present yourself professionally. I ask fans to answer certain questions to help artists see who their fans are and what's working for them.
There are 2 ways to submit; the traditional way and the easy way.
Send an email to thesharchive@gmail.com with "Artist Name - Song Name [Submission]" as the Subject. The body of the email should include:
- A short artist bio (150-200 words)
- (optional) A short description of the song
- A few photos of the artist (1-5)
- YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal Links (Official music videos are preferred over lyric/artwork videos)
Note: If your music is not on all streaming outlets required, submit as a fan. Any missing info can result in a declined submission.
Send an email to thesharchive@gmail.com with "Artist Name - Song Name [Submission]" as the Subject. The body of the email should include:
- Why you like the song
- (optional) A short bio (Name, Age, city and/or state and social media handles)
- (optional) Your backstory with the artist (Do you know them personally? Is this the song that made you a fan? Have you been a fan for a while or are they new to you?)
- YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal OR SoundCloud links (Official music videos are preferred over lyric/artwork videos)
Note: Only one link is needed, feel free to include as many as you'd like.
Go to dailyplaylists.com and follow the instructions to get your song ready for submission. Make sure hip-hop is selected as your genre and search for "New Gospel Rap/R&B" or "sytE's collection" and submit.
You'll know the playlist is mine if it says "by sytE" under the playlist name.
